Step-by-Step Guide

Please find a video walk through for Installing the Grass Bag Handle

Step 1: Prepare the Grass Bag

  • Place the grass collection bag on a flat, stable surface
  • Ensure the top plastic section is facing upwards
  • Locate the grooves/slots on the top frame of the bag
  • These slots are where the handle will be fitted

Important: Make sure the bag is fully empty before starting.

Step 2: Align the Handle

  • Take the grass bag handle
  • Line up both ends of the handle with the grooves on the bag frame
  • Ensure the handle is correctly oriented, with the curve facing upwards for carrying

Step 3: Insert the Handle

  • Push both ends of the handle into the grooves simultaneously
  • Slide it firmly into position
  • Ensure the handle sits evenly within the moulded slots

Step 4: Clip the Handle into Place

  • Press the handle down into the plastic retaining clips
  • Apply firm pressure until you hear or feel a “click”
  • The click confirms the handle is locked securely in place

Step 5: Check the Handle Is Secure

Gently lift the grass bag using the handle and confirm:

  • The handle does not move or pop out
  • Both ends remain fully clipped in place
  • The bag feels stable when lifted

Important: If the handle feels loose, remove and refit to ensure correct alignment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why won’t the handle click into place?

This is usually due to misalignment. Remove the handle and ensure both ends are correctly seated in the grooves before pressing down again.

Can I use the grass bag without the handle installed?

It is not recommended. The handle is required for safe lifting and handling of the full grass bag.

Should I force the handle into place?

No. Apply firm but controlled pressure only. Forcing may damage the plastic clips or handle ends.

What should I do if one side keeps popping out?

Check that both ends are fully aligned in the grooves and that no debris is blocking the clip mechanism.
